Independent workforce health intelligence
Workforce health risk, measured rather than assumed.
Employers hold health data across separate systems owned by separate internal and external suppliers. Most of this data relates to work risks or presenting symptoms and not underlying causation. ORIGIN consolidates the data, assessing cause and contributory risks to provide a more complete picture.
The problem
The information needed to manage workforce health risk exists. It is simply never brought together.
Data sits in separate places
Health and safety data often sits apart from occupational health and employee benefits data. The consequence is that the risk picture is never complete.
Symptoms are assessed, not causes
Occupational health and HR consider the presenting clinical symptoms. The underlying cause and the contributory risks behind the illness or injury are rarely examined.
Measurement is siloed too
Health risks are measured across health surveillance, wellbeing assessment, health screening and snapshot screening, for example drug and alcohol. Each resides in a different supplier's system, in a different format. The broader biopsychosocial risks are rarely measured, yet are a key risk factor for a business and for the person.
Benefits are bought without evidence
Employers know little about what their benefits actually address. Whether those benefits are working is seldom established. What the gaps are, and what the options are, are not established or discussed.
Separate systems, separate formats, separate owners. Very little joins them, so very little can be compared.
Who we are
ORIGIN Health Intelligence is an independent analytics practice working with employers, insurers and their advisers. We do not sell treatment, benefits or insurance, so the analysis we produce answers to the evidence and to nothing else.
Independent
No product to protect and no provider to favour.
Evidence-led
Conclusions follow the data, not the prevailing narrative.
Integrator
Provider and supplier-agnostic.
Solution-focused
Analysis is written to be acted on.
People-focused
Individual dignity and confidentiality come first.
What we do
From scattered records to a decision you can defend.
01
Consolidate
We bring together the Safety, Health, absence, claims and assessment data an employer already has access to across separate suppliers. It is normalised into one structure that can be examined as a whole.
02
Assess
We advise on how to assess underlying cause and contributory risk rather than just the presenting symptom. We enable employers to develop their assessment processes without replacing their existing tools.
03
Correlate
We test the questions employers cannot currently answer. Is the EAP reducing the incidence of mental health cases in the workplace? Is private medical insurance reducing absence? Are the costs of these benefits escalating beyond expectations or budgets? Correlation across sources is what turns separate reports into an answer.
04
Recommend
We set out what to change, in what order, and how the change will be measured. Recommendations are tied to the risks the data actually shows, and give the client the knowledge of how those outcomes can be improved for the benefit of the business and its people.
What we cover
Multiple services, one analytical standard.

Obstacles to recovery
Obstacles are identifiable and navigable once they are assessed. The argument is about the route, not about the person.
Who we work with
We work across the market rather than at one point in it.
Employers
The outcome buyer. ORIGIN consolidates data across the suppliers an employer already has in place, and assesses the underlying cause of risk rather than the symptoms that present.
How ORIGIN fitsInsurers
An analysis layer across a book or a scheme, independent of any provider network. It shows whether the interventions being funded change the underlying risk, or only the claim, and could this be mitigated further?
How ORIGIN fitsIntermediaries
ORIGIN places no benefits, so the analysis strengthens advice rather than competing with it. It gives a client conversation that runs beyond price and beyond the renewal.
How ORIGIN fitsThird-party administrators
Correlation across the data already administered, drawn together rather than reported system by system. Client reporting can then cover outcomes rather than the volumes that were processed.
How ORIGIN fitsOccupational health providers
ORIGIN adds the psychosocial and personal risk assessment that sits outside a standard fitness for work question. The role is complementary to the clinical service already being delivered.
How ORIGIN fitsWellbeing platforms
A measurement layer independent of the platform being measured. It shows whether engagement is changing the underlying risk, rather than reporting participation and activity on their own.
How ORIGIN fitsSeveral of these are channels as much as they are competitors: ORIGIN provides neither the benefit nor the clinical service, so the analysis sits behind the services they already provide rather than displacing them.
